Understanding ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management
System (Plexus Curriculum) – SC-410

Adherence to environmental guidelines is rapidly
becoming a common business practice and requirement. This course prepares participants for ISO
14001:2004 by examining it clause by clause.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
- How ISO 14001:2004 applies to different organizations
- A practical application of each of the ISO 14001:2004 clauses and
how they relate to the intent of the Standard
- Create a basic non-business model or metaphor for elements of the
standard – something that has inputs, transformation and outputs as any
business would have
- Identifying aspects and targets
- Preparing an implementation strategy
- How to develop and utilize Turtle Diagrams.
LEARNING MODEL
- Learning is maximized through participation.
- Lecture-based teaching is avoided
- The focus is on group activities, case studies and hands-on
applications.
